What is co-investment / shared assets?
Sometimes an investment isn't yours alone. Whether you've gone in on a property with a partner, co-invested in a startup with friends, or share ownership of an asset with family members, Findex lets you track shared assets and your specific ownership percentage. This way, your portfolio reflects exactly what you own — not just what the whole investment is worth.

How Shared Assets Work
A shared asset is an investment that multiple investors have a stake in. In Findex, you can mark an asset as shared and specify your ownership percentage. Findex then uses that percentage to calculate your portion of the investment's value.
For example, if a property is worth 2,000,000 SEK and you own 40%, Findex will show your share as 800,000 SEK in your portfolio value and net worth.

Setting Up a Co-Investment
Navigate to Portfolio > Investments.
Click on the asset you want to mark as shared, or add a new asset.
On the asset detail page, look for the Ownership or Co-Investment section.
Toggle the asset as a shared investment.
Enter your ownership percentage (e.g., 25%, 50%, 75%).
Click Save.
Findex will automatically calculate your share of the asset's current value based on the percentage you entered.

How It Affects Your Calculations
When an asset is marked as shared, Findex adjusts your numbers accordingly:
Portfolio value — Only your percentage of the asset's value is included.
Net worth — Your share of the asset is counted toward total assets.
ROI — Calculated based on your invested amount and your share of the current value.
Diversification — Your ownership share is what's reflected in the breakdown.
This ensures your portfolio is an accurate picture of your personal financial position, even when you co-own assets with others.
Updating Your Ownership Percentage
Ownership stakes can change over time — for instance, if a co-investor sells part of their share to you. To update:
Open the shared asset from your Investments list.
Edit the ownership percentage to reflect the new split.
Click Save.
Your portfolio calculations will update immediately to reflect the change.
Tips
Be precise with percentages — Even small differences in ownership percentage can add up when the asset is high-value. Enter the exact figure from your agreement.
Track the full asset value — Findex stores the total value of the shared asset while showing you only your portion. This makes it easy to see both the full picture and your personal stake.
Great for real estate and startups — Co-investment tracking is especially useful for property and unlisted equity, where shared ownership is common.
Each co-investor tracks independently — If your co-investors also use Findex, each person sets their own ownership percentage on their own account. There's no need to link accounts.
