Midas AI Limitations and Disclaimers

Midas AI is a powerful portfolio assistant, but it is important to understand what it can and cannot do. This article covers the boundaries of Midas so you can use it with confidence and realistic expectations.

Midas Is Not Financial Advice

This is the most important thing to know. Midas AI does not provide personalized financial advice, investment recommendations, or trading signals. Its outputs are informational and educational in nature.

  • Midas does not tell you to buy, sell, or hold any asset.

  • Midas does not replace a qualified financial advisor.

  • Midas does not consider your personal financial goals, risk tolerance, or tax situation.

Always consult a licensed financial professional before making investment decisions.

What Midas Cannot Do

Execute Trades or Transactions

Midas is a read-only assistant. It cannot place orders, move money, or make changes to your portfolio on your behalf.

Access External Accounts Directly

Midas works with the data already in your Findex portfolio. It does not independently connect to banks, brokers, or other financial institutions. Your data comes through your provider integrations and manual entries.

Guarantee Accuracy of Market Data

While Midas draws on available market information, it cannot guarantee that external market data is complete, current, or error-free. Always verify critical figures through official sources.

Predict Future Performance

Midas does not forecast stock prices, asset returns, or market movements. Any observations about trends or patterns are based on historical data and should not be interpreted as predictions.

Data Limitations

  • Stale data. If your provider connections have not synced recently or manual assets have not been updated, Midas may work with outdated values.

  • Missing assets. If an asset or liability is not added to your Findex portfolio, Midas has no way to account for it.

  • Unlisted holdings. For unlisted equities and alternatives, Midas relies on the valuations you provide. It cannot independently verify these values.

Tips

  • Verify before acting. Treat Midas outputs as a starting point, not a final answer. Double-check any figures that will inform a real decision.

  • Keep data fresh. The more current your portfolio data, the more reliable Midas insights will be.

  • Read the terms. Review the Midas AI terms of use you accepted on first launch for the full legal disclaimer.
