Understanding Midas Insights & Suggestions

Midas does not just answer questions -- it proactively surfaces insights about your portfolio so you can stay on top of what matters. Here is how those insights are generated and what they mean for you.

Last updated About 1 month ago

How Insights Are Generated

Midas analyzes the data already in your Findex portfolio. This includes your assets, liabilities, allocation percentages, historical values, and connected provider data. No external accounts or third-party data sources are required beyond what you have already added to Findex.

  1. Data Collection -- Midas reads your current portfolio holdings, including asset types, values, and provider connections.

  2. Pattern Recognition -- It identifies patterns such as concentration in a single asset class, notable value changes, or allocation shifts over time.

  3. Insight Generation -- Based on those patterns, Midas creates plain-language observations and suggestions tailored to your portfolio.

Types of Insights You May See

Allocation Observations

Midas may point out when your portfolio is heavily weighted toward one asset type -- for instance, if 80% of your net worth sits in real estate. This is not a recommendation to change anything, just a heads-up.

Performance Highlights

When a particular asset or asset class shows significant movement, Midas can flag it for your attention. This helps you stay aware without having to check every holding manually.

Portfolio Composition

Midas can summarize how your portfolio breaks down across categories like equities, cash, crypto, bonds, real estate, and alternatives -- giving you a snapshot of your overall diversification.

Contextual Market Information

For listed holdings, Midas may provide relevant market context that could help you understand broader movements affecting your assets.

Tips

  • Keep your portfolio current. Insights are only as good as the data behind them. Make sure your assets and liabilities are up to date.

  • Review insights regularly. Check in with Midas periodically to catch observations you might otherwise miss.

  • Ask Midas to explain. If an insight is unclear, ask a follow-up question in the same conversation for more detail.

Important Note

Midas insights are informational only. They are generated from your portfolio data and general market information. They are not personalized financial advice, and they should not be treated as buy, sell, or hold recommendations.
