How Does News Work?

The Findex newsfeed delivers AI-curated news articles tailored to the assets in your portfolio. Instead of sifting through generic financial headlines, you get a personalized stream of stories that are actually relevant to your holdings.

How It Works

The newsfeed lives at /newsfeed in your Findex navigation (labeled News). Here is what happens behind the scenes:

  1. Portfolio scanning. Findex looks at the assets you currently hold -- stocks, crypto, bonds, real estate, and more.

  2. AI curation. Our system matches news articles to your specific holdings and asset types, so you see stories that matter to you.

  3. Personalized feed. Your newsfeed updates regularly with fresh articles ranked by relevance to your portfolio.

Browsing Your Newsfeed

Switch Between Views

You can view your newsfeed in two layouts:

  • Grid view -- Articles displayed as cards in a grid, great for scanning headlines and thumbnails.

  • List view -- A compact list format, useful for quickly reading through many articles.

Toggle between views using the view switcher at the top of the newsfeed.

Filter by Asset Type

If you want to focus on news for a specific part of your portfolio, use the asset type filters to narrow your feed. For example, you can filter to see only news related to your crypto holdings or your listed equities.

  1. Open the News page.

  2. Select an asset type filter from the available options.

  3. Your feed updates to show only articles matching that filter.

Improving Your Recommendations

Dislike Articles

See something that is not relevant? Use the dislike action on any article to let the system know. Over time, this helps the AI learn your preferences and deliver better recommendations.

Mark as Read

You can mark articles as read to keep your feed tidy and track what you have already reviewed. This helps you quickly identify new stories each time you visit.

Tips

  • Check in regularly. Your feed updates as new articles are published, so there is always something fresh.

  • Use filters to focus. If you are researching a particular asset class, filters save you time.

  • Dislike generously. The more feedback you give, the smarter your feed becomes.

  • Keep your portfolio current. The newsfeed is driven by your holdings -- add new assets to see relevant news for them.
