How to Send Investor Update

Keeping your shareholders in the loop builds trust and transparency. With Findex, you can compose and send investor updates directly from the IR Portal -- no separate email tool needed. This guide shows you how to create and deliver an update to your shareholders.

Overview

Investor Updates let you send communications to your shareholders as rich markdown content. Every update you send is recorded in a historical timeline, so both you and your investors can look back at past communications at any time.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Log in to Findex and navigate to the IR Portal.

  2. Select Investor Updates (or Communication) from the IR navigation sidebar.

  3. Click New Update to open the update editor.

  4. Enter a subject line that clearly summarizes the update (e.g., "Q4 2025 Results & Outlook").

  5. Write your update content in the markdown editor. You can format text with headings, bold, bullet points, links, and more.

  6. Select the recipients -- choose all shareholders or a specific group.

  7. When your content is ready, click Send Update to deliver it to your shareholders.

After Sending

  • Your update appears immediately in the Investor Updates timeline, where all sent communications are listed in chronological order.

  • Shareholders who have access to the IR Portal will also see the update in their Investor Updates widget (if enabled by the company).

  • You can view any previously sent update by clicking on it in the timeline.

Tips

  • Before sending to all shareholders, use the Preview & Test feature to check formatting and delivery. See How to Preview & Test Investor Update for details.

  • Keep updates concise and scannable. Use headings and bullet points to break up longer content.

  • Consider a regular cadence (monthly or quarterly) so shareholders know when to expect updates.

  • Markdown supports links, so you can point shareholders to external reports, documents, or your company website.
