Providers & Integrations

Findex connects to your banks, brokers, and other financial institutions so your portfolio stays up to date automatically. The Providers & Integrations settings page is where you manage all of these connections.

Overview

Under Settings > Account Settings > Providers & Integrations, you can view, add, and manage the external accounts linked to your Findex profile. Findex uses Finsquid as its data aggregation partner to securely pull in account balances, holdings, and transaction data from your financial providers.

Viewing Connected Providers

  1. Go to Settings from the main menu.

  2. Select Providers & Integrations under Account Settings.

  3. You will see a list of all currently connected providers, along with their sync status and the date of the last successful sync.

Adding a New Provider

  1. Navigate to Settings > Providers & Integrations.

  2. Click the Add Provider or Connect Account button.

  3. Search for your bank, broker, or financial institution in the provider list.

  4. Follow the on-screen authentication steps (this may involve logging in through your provider's website or app).

  5. Once authenticated, Findex will begin importing your account data.

Managing Existing Connections

From the Providers & Integrations page, you can:

  • Refresh a connection -- Manually trigger a sync to pull the latest data from a provider.

  • Reconnect -- If a session has expired or a connection is broken, use the reconnect option to re-authenticate.

  • Remove a provider -- Disconnect a provider entirely if you no longer want its data in Findex.

Tips

  • Keep sessions active. Some providers require periodic re-authentication. If you see a warning about an expired session, reconnect promptly to avoid gaps in your data.

  • Check sync status. A green status means everything is up to date. If you see an error or warning, try refreshing the connection.

  • Data is read-only. Findex only reads your financial data. It cannot make transactions, move funds, or modify anything in your external accounts.
