Your Rights Under GDPR

As a Findex user, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to access -- You can request a copy of all personal data Findex holds about you.

  • Right to rectification -- If any of your data is incorrect or incomplete, you can ask us to correct it.

  • Right to erasure -- Also known as the "right to be forgotten," you can request that we delete your personal data. See Data Deletion Requests for details.

  • Right to data portability -- You can request your data in a structured, commonly used format.

  • Right to object -- You can object to certain types of data processing.

  • Right to restrict processing -- You can ask us to limit how we use your data in specific situations.


How Findex Handles Your Data

  1. We collect only what we need. Findex collects personal and financial data necessary to provide you with portfolio management features -- nothing more.

  2. We do not sell your data. Your information is never sold to third parties for advertising or any other purpose.

  3. We use read-only access. When connecting to your financial providers, Findex only views your data. We cannot make transactions or changes to your accounts. Learn more in Understanding Read-Only Access.

  4. We encrypt your data. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard protocols.

  5. We store data in the EU. Your data is processed and stored in compliance with EU data residency requirements.

Exercising Your Rights

To exercise any of your GDPR rights, follow these steps:

  1. Send an email to team@findex.se with the subject line "GDPR Request"

  2. Specify which right you would like to exercise (access, deletion, rectification, etc.)

  3. Include your registered email address so we can locate your account

  4. Our team will respond within 30 days, as required by GDPR


Tips

  • You can update your personal information directly in the app under Settings > My Profile without needing to submit a formal request.

  • Data deletion is permanent. Before requesting erasure, make sure you no longer need access to your Findex account or data.

  • Keep your contact details current so we can reach you regarding any data requests.


FAQ

Q: Does Findex share my data with third parties? A: Findex only shares data with trusted service providers necessary to operate the platform (such as our data aggregation partner Finsquid and authentication provider Auth0). We never sell your data.

Q: How long does Findex keep my data? A: We retain your data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, data is removed in accordance with GDPR requirements.

Q: Where is my data stored? A: Your data is stored and processed within the EU in compliance with GDPR.
