Quick Add Liability
The Quick Add feature lets you add a liability to your portfolio in just a few clicks — right from your dashboard or the liabilities list. It's the fastest way to get a new debt into Findex without navigating through multiple screens.

How to Use Quick Add
From your Dashboard or the Liabilities list, click the Add Liability button.

A modal will appear. Choose whether you want to:
Connect Provider — Link a bank or lender to import liabilities automatically.
Add Manually — Enter the liability details yourself.
If adding manually, select the liability type (e.g., Mortgage, Personal Loan, Credit Card).
Fill in the key details:
Liability Name
Amount
Interest Rate
Already Amortized
Maturity Date
Click Save.
Your new liability will immediately appear in your portfolio and be reflected in your net worth calculation.

Where You Can Quick Add From
The Add Liability button is available in two places:
Dashboard — The button on your main dashboard view.
Liabilities List — The button at the top of the Portfolio > Liabilities page.
Both take you through the same flow, so you can add a liability from wherever is most convenient.
What to Fill In Now vs. Later
Quick Add is designed to be fast. You only need to enter the essentials to get started:
After saving, you can always click on the liability to open its detail page and fill in the rest.
Tips
Perfect for quick entries — Use Quick Add when you want to log a debt quickly and fill in the finer details later.
You can edit anytime — After adding, click on the liability to update or add more information.
Don't skip the interest rate — Entering the rate lets Findex calculate your yearly interest cost automatically.
