Updating Valuations
For manually added assets, updating the current value is how you keep your portfolio accurate. You should update valuations when:
You receive a new valuation report
A funding round sets a new price
Market conditions change significantly
You want to adjust an estimated value
Simply edit the asset and change the Current Value field. Your dashboard, net worth, and diversification will update automatically.
Editing Provider-Imported Assets
Assets imported from connected providers are synced automatically, so most fields are updated during each sync cycle. However, you can still:
Rename the asset to something more recognizable
Add notes or additional context
Link documents to the asset
Note: For provider-imported assets, values like quantity and current price are managed by the data sync. Manual edits to those fields may be overwritten on the next sync.

Tips
Update regularly — For unlisted assets without automatic pricing, try to update valuations at least quarterly to keep your portfolio picture accurate.
Check the detail page — After editing, visit the asset's detail page to confirm your changes are reflected in the valuation history.
